Well life has been a bit crazy over the last month...

New Job

I started m y new job at Arnold Elementary as a Reading Interventionist.  I have very mixed feelings about this job.  On the positive side, I only work half a day, I get to work with small groups of children helping them read and I have great coworkers.  On the down side, I have to get up at 6:45 every morning (for those of you who know me, I am not a morning person), it's not exactly what I want to be doing and it's not full time.  So I am trying to make the most out of it and be thankful that I have a job.  I'm still praying that God will open up the doors to an opportunity to work in the ministry again but I am trying to be patient and wait on His timing.  Which means right now I am trying to get in bed early every night and make the biggest impact I can on these children's lives while I am given the chance.

PS...The best part about working in the school, is I have Fall Break this coming week!!

Football Season

It's football season!!! Over the years, I have lived in Tennessee, Alabama and South Carolina.  When we moved to Cleveland, TN in high school, I realized real fast that Tennessee was the team to cheer for.  Then I moved to Birmingham to go to college and was asked which team I supported...Auburn or Alabama.  Well at the time I didn't know too many Alabama fans that I liked (that has changed now since my father-in-law is an Alabama fan) and I decided to stick with orange.  Then after college, I moved to South Carolina and again was asked the question...Clemson or Carolina.  Well I decided to stick with orange again (even though my husband tells me all the time, it's a completely different orange) and plus my now husband was a Clemson fan!! So as you can see every game day, I will always say "GO ORANGE"!!! The only time this is a problem is when they play each other....on those days I tend to cheer for Tennessee since I am a Tennessee girl and all!!!

I can't forget about my alma mater! Although they are not a well known team and it would probably take a miracle for them to make it to any big championship game, I will always cheer them on!!

Fall is Finally Here!!

Fall is my favorite time of the year!! I love the weather and plus like I pointed out above it's football season!  I am so ready for the hot weather to go away and the cool fall mornings and evenings to start.  Especially because I need to get back into running again.  I am so looking forward to running on the greenway and seeing all the leaves changing.  That is one of the best parts of moving back to Tennessee, it is such a great place to live during the fall season.  I am hoping to get a chance to head back up to Chilhowee mountain to see what it looks like with all the leaves changing.

....Well I guess I have done enough rambling for today.
